Used Golf EquipmentFor those whom appreciate the game of golf, there are fewer greater pleasures in life than being out on a course and playing a good round. Golf is a game of skill, concentration, judgement and nerve – qualities which most people hold in high regard. |
Used Golf Equipment Golf is also notoriously difficult, and without the right positive frame of mind you have little to no chance of developing any sort of aptitude for the game. It can be extremely frustrating, and to some embarrassing, and this is why a great deal of patience is required. Whilst having good equipment certainly helps, it will do little to nothing for a player whose game is severely lacking anyway. New golf clubs can be very expensive, and for beginners who are yet to be completely hooked on the game I would seriously recommend purchasing used golf equipment. If you look around some second hand trading places, you are likely to find some excellent bargains. Even for a full-sized golf course, for a beginner, a few clubs should suffice: A driver (3 or 5 wood recommended), a 3 iron, a 5 iron, a 7 iron, a sand wedge and a putter. If you can get used to using these golf clubs, you can then go about filling in the gaps as your swing improves and your judgement for distance and force does, which will take quite some time anyway. When purchasing used golf equipment it is important to make sure the clubs are in good order. Check the shaft for and cracks or splits or rust – particularly near the grip and near the head of the club. Also ensure the striking surface of the head of the club doesn’t have too many dents and deep gouges as this can make the ball come off at an incorrect angle. Also, pick the clubs up and look down them, twisting them to ensure the shaft is straight and not bent. As for the remainder of the equipment, a second hand bag (and trolley, if you wish – also ensure the wheels roll correctly), second hand tees and some undamaged second hand balls ought to suffice. Enjoy your game! Copyright © Used Golf Equipment |
